Ecological Tipping Points

You have been learning about our impacts on the Earth's spheres (biosphere, atmosphere, hydrosphere, geosphere). Ecosystems are constantly experiencing changes, and respond tot those changes. Sometimes, the overall effects of the changes are not enough to make a noticeable to the overall ecosystem. Other times, particular changes, or many changes push the ecosystem over a tipping point that results in significant changes to the ecosystem.

In this project, you will be asked to investigate three tipping points that are provided to you, brainstorm three more, and then choose one to investigate in-depth. The following resources will help you with your research.

Food Production
Global Warming

These videos help illustrate how parts of ecosystems interact with each other.
